South 13th Street (unbuilt)

Abstraction of the facade on the existing site condition in Philadelphia provides the formal foundation of the design project. The tectonic strategy uses large steel beams that perform like hangers to allow these concrete volumes of habitation to be elevated off the ground and float, inviting light into the collective social space on the ground floor.
